In February 2020, we held our first Retreat. We were all so delighted that it went so well, that we are going to do it annually!
You will be warmly welcomed, given wonderful food, fabulous workshops, and enjoy meeting fellow guests and tutors.
What to expect:
Arrive around 5pm on Friday* to book in and enjoy a coffee before heading off to your room to settle in.
We will meet for drinks in the Great Barn, then head to the Farmhouse Kitchen for a delicious dinner, prepared by our chef.
Throught the weekend, we will enjoy all our meals in this beautiful kitchen.
Each accommodation venue provides spaces with open fires, including the sofa area in the Great Barn, where several workshops will take place.
On Saturday and Sunday, workshops run from 10am – 1:00pm, and following lunch, start again from around 2.00-5:00pm.
Following supper, around 7:30pm, you can once again relax in a sitting room or Great Barn with drinks, books or games… or sneak off for an early night!
After supper on Sunday, we will gather in the Great Barn for drinks, and to chat about the workshops – maybe even show off some of our creations!
On Monday we will enjoy breakfast, and check out at 10am, taking with us new memories, skills and friendships…
During the weekend, you can choose to fill each session with different classes, or choose a time to go walking up the Skirrid Mountain under which our Retreat nestles. Perhaps you will choose an afternoon to read, maybe sketch, or write in your journal.
The Creative Retreat offers you the opportunity to choose how to spend your time, with many options to choose from, or to create your own!
The beautiful new swim-pond in the meadow is available to use all weekend, as is the sauna in the adjacent building, and included in the price of your stay.
As an optional extra, the venue can arrange to hire a masseuse for one of the days (minimum 4 people per day).

Once you have browsed the schedule of workshops, it is time to book your preferred room! Submit your online form, and then you will be invited to pay your deposit, securing your Creative Retreat space.
Below you will find the prices for the occupancy rates for the three nights. Some rooms are on ground floor for easier access.
A) Choose your room type
B) Click “Book Here” where you will be taken to a form to choose your room and your workshops, and include any dietary or accessible requests.
The form is automatically sent to me when you press ‘submit’.
C) I will be in touch to organise the deposit and discuss any requests.
All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and morning and afternoon coffees) from Friday to Monday are included in your room rate, PLUS your workshops.
We also have our own chef on site preparing all our meals.
*Please bring your own wine for the evenings.
*All dietary requirements can be catered for.
*NB: No food or drinks to be taken into the bedrooms, thank you.
Please note: there is no wheelchair accessibility due to the age and style of buildings.
There are one or two steps up into buildings or rooms here and there.
